After exams for Form 1 and 2 girls. Honors, Fees, discipline, responsibility, dignity, family, God, and Ghana all on the agenda for discussion.

    Question: Do they have buses & public transportation down there?

    1. Girls who go to school in Ghana wear their school uniforms like you do. However, they have maybe 2 to 3 different uniform styles to choose from when attending classes. Other clothing styles can be seen in the videos we watch in class or search Google images for more details.

    I also like how American money is worth more In Ghana than it is here.

    1. The transportation system consists of taxis, tro-tros - which are like the buses, bicycles, and scooters are used by individuals. The roads are difficult to navigate because there are a lot of potholes and lots of people are walking on the sides of the roads.

    I like how they are respectful to teachers and the student that go there.
    I like how they welcome people in there country even when they do not know them.

  6. Comment: Its interesting how the people in Ghana enjoy school and learning new things, they dont take thweir education for granted like alot of people in America. I love how they value everything that get and they grab a hold of all the good oppurtunities in life.

  7. I thought it was interesting to see how all the student sat in wooden chairs in what seem to be a auditorium. It also interesting that all of the girl the school had shortly cut afros and if it was the norm the in Afirca, Ghana

    1. The girls brought their chairs with them to sit in. The chairs are not in the assembly hall all the time. We don't know what you are trying to say. Please clarify.

  8. One random fact about Ghana is that it gained its Independence in 1954,it was one the first country to regain independence after the colonial period where Europe rein and it first black President name was Kwame Nkrumah

  9. Comment: It's very unique how everyone shows love for eachother and tries to make life very peaceful. i think going to ghana would be a great experience in life. so that you can see how people live on the other side of the world. It may make people appreciate life more.

  10. I think its very interesting to meet other people in the world that appreciate what they have. They respect eachother and they elders. They also take advantage of their education and go somewhere with it.

    How is they medical down there? Do they get yearly check-ups?

    FACT: The currency used in Ghana is called Cedi.

  12. I like how the girls in Ghana don't care about what they to school and why they have to wear it unlike students in America. While we're here complaining about not liking this and not liking that, students in Ghana don't care just as long as they get their education.

  13. Comment: I don't find the people in Ghana to be very sensitive as the people in America. For example if you look at someone for too long in America they want to fight you; unlike to in Ghana they don't let little thing get to them like Someone looking at someone else.

    Question: Are the girls allow to have a cell phone?

    Fact: some of the industries in Ghana are Mining, Oil drilling, steel,Timber, Diamond and Bauxite.

  14. Comment: I think the people in Ghana is the same as the people in America. They are just more peaceful than others. Ghana girls are taught in a different view because in america we can wear our hair and they have to get their cut off.

  16. Comment:I like the fact that the females have to cut there hair in order to get a education. All the Ghana girls hair is cut so no ones is different from each other. I also like that in Ghana they have a hungry for education.

    Question: Down there in Ghana do the teenagers have a high rate of STD`s ??

    Fact: The word Ghana mean "Warrior king" and was the title accorded to the kings of the medieval west African Ghana empire.

  18. I like to see how Ghanaian people join together. I enjoy the fact that they are committed to a family, friend oriented relationship. Moreover, I see that Ghana hold values stronger that some others of the world. Ghanaian women and men hold a heart-felt contempt and compassion for their people.

    What do you feel is the biggest sign of disrespect in Ghanaian culture?

    Fact: When it comes to Ghana's employment patters, it shows that Agriculture is 59%, Services are 30 %, and Industry is 11%.
